The spring meeting of the Association of British Transport & Engineering Museums focusses on future uses of digital technology in museums, with speakers from both Arts Council England and the Heritage Lottery Fund who will outline new funding streams and future areas of interest.
In the afternoon session, a presentation from Simon Chandler-Barratt of Townsweb Archiving 'Digitisation - make the dream reality' will offer delegates hints and tips about starting a digitisation project, working with consultants and ideas for gnerating an income stream from your project.
There will also be time to see the award-winning displays at the Coventry Transport Museum and learn more about their future plans.
The seminar will run from 11.00am to 4pm, and includes lunch.
Places at this seminar are FREE, due to the generous funding of Arts Council England as part of its Subject Specialist Network scheme.
