Trinity Church Tariffville is excited to invite surrounding churches to our first ever experimental test class and Interfaith Event commission. Every month we will focus on different event marketing skills to equip believers in reaching their community better. During this time we will encourage each other, work together, and explore creative ways to use technology for communication. The aim of this project is to train up a new generation of volunteers, lay and ordained leaders to faithfully grow the church online. We will be exploring and trying new things. Some ideas you might be familiar with and able to help, and some might be unfamiliar and foreign. We are expecting to fail at many parts, but as believers we welcome this honor of exploration to grow our faith into a digital space. This interfaith group welcomes representatives from churches, temples and synagogues in the Farmington Valley.  Please add this monthly event to your personal calendars for the the second Thursday of each month from 12pm - 1pm at Trinity Church in Tariffville. Each meeting will start with sharing what is happening at your church. The next 15 minute we will go over 2 event marketing tools, how they work and their purpose. This will be followed by two hands-on activities of 20 minutes each practising and implementating this new tools. Attendees should know what is happening at their churches for the next 3 months. Please bring a printed sheet listing all events to share with the group.  Attendees should have a gmail account in place since many resources are accessed and shared via Google Drive. If you church has social media accounts and pages in place, please request access or admin rights to them. You will need a laptop, a tablet or your electronic device of choice. If you only have a smartphone that will also work as many parts of the activities can be executed this way. These classes are free but donations are welcomed.
